New begining

New term is starting today. I went to register in the Uni, which was very busy today. This morning I came to see my supervisors and said hello to my piano tutor over the phone. To be honest, I haven’t got used to such the abustle atmosphere from being so slouchy. But it is time to get me so excited because I finally got the student hand book, on which the module I will be going is much more different from others in regular PhD and the timetable of performance is clearly listed up as well. I know it’s not that easy to do PhD. I will try my best though.

Black & White

I still prefer black and white, because others look kinda disordered and a bit noisy.
People don’t think they are far better of filling with our life, like life is in the dark, and love is in the bright.
Photographers see them as the pureness and stability to life.
Goers think them as the confidence and sangfroid to the competition.
And they draw a picuture of inflexibility and optimism in pianist’s eyes.
Black and White keys, scores, notes,
and even the sign of an expression.
They wear the black-and-white suits,
playing the complanate world with black and white.

Yet, that is the real colourful world, with breathing and sentiment.
There are many chromatic elements in this black and white world.
But, contrarily, where are they in the colorized world? In fact,
My world is filled with them, coming in turn and sharing each other,
My world, black and white...

To be continued...

Here is my new home from now on. It is bad that the Wollop has been closed down. But never mind, I am so glad that I have this new space to record every moment I will have in the future. Lately I have been in London with my husband, which was great together. New term is about to start right now. I have to get ready to it and keep practising everyday, But I am so happy that I can totally be concentrating on doing it. Life is back to be busy again. Rock on! Sylvia!
